ABOUT CSE

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in 2008-2009. The department offers B.Tech(Computer Science & Engineering) Program with an annual intake of 60.
The department is equipped with the state of the art computing facilities and experienced staff members and is known for its academic excellence proved by its performances since its inception.
The pass percentage of the department has been more than 97% and more than 50% of the students obtain distinction every year, which speaks of the academic fervor in the department. The department holds the reputation of getting competitive GATE scores every year, and the students got admitted in all the IIT’s IISc, Central University, University of Roorkee and many Regional Engineering Colleges in M.Tech and M.S. Programs.
It is a matter of pride that 5 students of the department got admission into a batch of 30 students in M.Tech. Programme: 2001-2002 at IIT, Kanpur.
A good number of students from the department obtained admissions into M.S(Computer Science) Program abroad. Many of the students were placed in reputed organizations like HP, Texas Instruments, Motorola, Lucent, Wipro, HCL, Siemens, Veritas, Oracle, Hoenywell, Mindtree Solutions, Infosys, Aztec in challenging positions.
Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities and competitions held by other universities and colleges within the state and out-side the state. The students have won laurels to the college winning prizes in competitions – TECHFEST IIT, Bombay, INFLUX: University of Roorkee and at PSG college of Technology and many others.
The department strives hard to impart quality education and to keep the students on the competitive edge of the present-day technology.

Role of Computer Science Engineering
Computer Science and Engineering graduates are the pillars in the current and emerging information era. Opportunities include pursuing Master of Science programs in reputed universities of U.S. and taking up research assignments in Hardware, System Software, and Computer Engineering, Multimedia, Networking and Communications areas.
Job opportunities are ever increasing, and varied in nature. System Study, Analysis, Design and Programming are the inherent.

Computer Lab
The Computer Centre includes two laboratories, an Internet gateway, a Server Room, and a facility for scanning and printing which is spread across an area of 2,400 Sq.ft. The laboratories houses 180 computer systems, connected to the campus-wide LAN. The laboratories are equipped with various software’s such as C, C++, Oracle, Java and APN
