Ware House Executor

Abstract
This system  is an integrated package of software  used in warehouse operations, and elsewhere, to monitor the quantity, location and status of inventory as well as the related shipping, receiving, picking, packaging and  put away processes in common usage, the term may also refer to just the software components.

Ware House Management activities

Operating an Ware House System involves several processing activities. The efficiency of this system depends on how efficiently it can perform the following activities:

  • Maintain the Product hierarchy and product details.
  • Companies need to handle all the branches and their activities.
  • Provide brand names to products based on the manufacturing structure.
  • Hold products. Keep products in storage and under proper protections until needed.
  • Maintain the different Unit Types.
  • Maintain Company storage capabilities, for storing the products on a particular series.
  • Dispatch the shipments. Package orders, prepare shipping documents and load goods onto the right vehicle.
  • Operate an information system. A record must be maintained for each item in stock showing the quantity on hand, quantity received, quantity issued, and location in the warehouse. This system can be very simple, depending on minimum of written information and human memory, or it may be a sophisticated computer-based system.

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
This system  is an integrated package of software  used in warehouse operations, and elsewhere, to monitor the quantity, location and status of inventory as well as the related shipping, receiving, picking, packaging and  put away processes in common usage, the term may also refer to just the software components.
Operating a ware house system involves several processing activities.  The efficiency of this system depends on how efficiently it can perform the following activities.

3.    EXISTING SYSTEM
1       The existing system is a manual system.  Here the employees needs to save the information in the form of excel sheets or Disk Drives.
2       There is no sharing is possible if the data is in the form of paper or Disk drives.
3       The manual system gives us very less security for saving data; some data may be lost due to mismanagement.
4       It’s a limited system and fewer users friendly.
5       Searching of particular information is very critical it takes lot of time.
6       It is very critical to maintain records manually for different products stored in ware house. Because ware house having huge amount of products.
7       It is a tedious job to maintain different ware houses on different locations at time manually in the system.

4.    PROPOSED SYSTEM
The development of this new system contains the following activities, which try to automate the entire process keeping in the view of database integration approach.
  • User Friendliness is provided in the application with various controls provided by system Rich User Interface.
  • The system makes the overall project management much easier and flexible.
  • It can be accessed over the Intranet.
  • The user information can be stored in centralized database which can be maintained by the system.
  • This can give the good security for user information because data is not in client machine.
  • Authentication is provided for this application only registered Users can access.
  • There is no risk of data management at any level while the project development is under process.
  • The categorization of products in ware house makes simplify to know which product is stored in which location in the ware house.

5.    MODULES

The system after careful analysis has been identified to be presented with the following modules:

1.    Administrator
2.    Customers
3.    Ware House Employees
4.    Ware House Maintenance
5.    Store and Dispatch Module
6.    Reports
7.    Authentication

Administration
Administration is the owner of the ware house. He can have all the privileges to do anything in this system. Administrator can register new employees, ware houses on different locations into the system.  Admin can keep track team employees and their performance.  He can able to know what types of products are preserved in different ware houses, and their details.

Ware House Employees
Here a team employees means they are maintaining the ware house.   The major responsibility for the employees is they have to allow the product for preserve.  The challenging issue is here arranging the products in an order format, because while dispatching the product it’s very easy to move the products into outside.

Customers
Customers in the sense of owners of the products.  A customer directly comes to ware house and make request to store his products.  By verifying the products an employee gives permission to allow the customer products into the warehouse.  After that employee will issue a gate pass for the customer?  By using this gate pass only customer will take back their products and pay necessary fee for protecting their goods into the ware house.

Ware House Maintenance
In this module the administrator and employee will take care of ware house maintenance.  Maintain the data of ware house products, allowing products in ware house, and dispatch the product from ware house, generating gate pass, allowing vehicles, giving instructions to vehicles drivers, preserve goods using various techniques.

Store and Dispatch Module
Employees are take care about incoming products into the ware house.  Employee need to check the product condition, if he is satisfies then only permission granted to the customer to preserve their products.  While dispatching the employee need to check the gate pass and generate a dispatch pass and send them out from ware house.
