Web Portal Abstract


                          Web Portal Abstract
An WEB PORTAL is a computerized solution for recruiting agencies and software. This application maintains electronic database comprises of job applicants, workers, employees and details of various clients. Users of this system can create and access details of all the information easily and effectively.
          This is an internal application, which is used by a consultant to maintain his client’s details and employee’s status details and scheduled interviews for applicants.
            The project consists of mainly 3 different modules.
1.        Applicant details
2.        Client details
3.        Employee details

Applicant Details:

 In this we can maintain the applicant details like personal, skills, and interview. The total data is given in the applicant details
After applicants registration in the consultancy they  call the interview based on the skills and other details .The result of the interview is also  maintained in the applicant details.
          In the applicant details we can give search engine for searching the Applicants in whole applicant details. In this user can enter the required details like Skill, Qualification, Designation, Experience etc…. to search the applicant

CLIENT DETAILS:

Another details we can maintain in this project is client details that are related to consultancy.  In these details we can maintain the two types of details 
          1. Client Details
          2. JobOrder Details
          In client details we can maintain the client company details and contact person details working in that company. Once the client registered in the consultancy he can place the job orders for the recruiting the employees.
In the JobOrder details user can maintain the JobOrder details that are placed by different clients that are related to our consultancy. By seeing the job order details that are placed by the clients the user will select the required number candidates from the applicants by conducting the interviews according to client requirement.
Employee DETAILS:
          Another main detail in any organization is to maintain the employee details working in that organization. In this project also we maintain the details of the employee that are present in the consultancy. This Employee Details can only be maintain the administrator of the consultancy since he can only appoint new employee’s into the organization, the access of this details is restricted to him only.
In this employee details we can maintain the TWO types employee details. First type is who was working in our consultancy and second type of employees who are selected to the job through our consultancy is also treated as our employee.
Finally reports are generated based on some data or without data. In this project reports are generate in three ways
1. Reports
2. DateWise Reports
3. Field Wise Reports


               

Process in Existing System

When Applicant comes to the consultancy office for the job seek then the recruiter in the office will take the applicant details, skill details and register then store the details of the applicants
          If any of the consultancy’s clients places job order then according to the client requirement select the applicants of his consultancy according to their skills and conducts the interviews for them and selects the best suited applicants for the clients and place the applicants in the clients organization. In behalf of the consultancy. This is the total process done in the existing system

APPLICANT DETAILS MAINTENANCE

Applicant details and his skill details are maintained and registered by the recruiter of the consultancy. Once the applicant was registered from them onwards he can attend to the interviews that are conducted by the consultancy .the consultancy maintenance the interview details of the
Applicants.

CLIENT DETAILS MAINTENANCE

          The consultancy also maintenance the total details of the clients that are related to the consultancy and it also maintenance the details of the contact person that belongs to the particular clients. After registering the clients, the consultancy takes job orders from clients and maintenance those details also.

EMPLOYEE DETAILS

The consultancy maintains the details of the total employees that are present in the consultancy and also the employees that are working in the different client organization on behalf of the consultancy



PROPOSED SYSTEM

The idea is to automate the total activities that are done in the consultancy by using java as front-end and oracle as backend this will better interaction between the consultancy and the applicant. This system is developed with on eye towards, the future and can easily be updated with, new modules as it may need expansions at a later stage (i.e. scalability has been maintained to an extend)
          The importance of new system is that it is user friendly and a better interface with user’s working on it. It can overcome the problems of manual system and the security problem.
          The total activities that are done in the Web portal system is divided into three main modules
          Module 1: APPLICANT
          Module 2: CLIENT
          Module 3: EMPLOYEE

DATABASE (BACK END)        : ORACLE 10G.
ARCHITECTURE                      : 3-TIER ARCHITECTUR
