Jobbing portcullis

                               ABSTRACT

Jobbing portcullis is an application developed in order to reduce the gap between Industry and Industry needed resources. It is a web based application. Main objective of this application is to drive away resources into an industry. This application helps for the jobseekers to upload resumes, searches for the jobs based on keywords and finally applies for the suitable jobs. Registered employers can give adds for the jobs and they can take necessary resumes from the portal by performing search.  Administrator manages the site and he can manipulate all the information in the system. He can add job fairs into the system.

 This system provides useful feature for jobseekers, called job calendar. If the user selects any date in the job calendar then it displays list of jobs available on that particular date in the same page.

This application can be mainly intended to create the rich user interface between  jobseekers and industries. In this application helps for job seekers to upload resumes, searching for jobs on a particular date. The registered employers can add job fair details can take necessary resumes from the portal by performing search.  If the user selects any date in the job calendar then it displays list of jobs available on that particular date.

PROBLEM IN EXISTING SYSTEM

ü  The current job sites are very slow and not well organized.

ü  There is no well built-in system to check the history or older job postings.

ü  These postings might have the last date for many days, but there is no provision to check the job postings day wise.

SOLUTION OF THESE PROBLEMS

The current project has the following features:

1.      Shows the calendar and job postings list on each day.

2.      The basic features enhanced in Ajax.

3.      This system provides useful feature for jobseekers, called job calendar. If the user selects any date in the job calendar then it displays list of jobs available on that particular date in the same page.

4.      provide a flexible and faster search feature for both employers and Jobseekers

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

ü  P4 2.8GB processor and above.

ü  Ram 512 MB and above.

ü  HDD 20 GB Hard Disk and above.

Software requirements:

o   Microsoft .Net framework 2.0.

o   Microsoft ASP.Net.

o   AJAX Tool kit.

o   Microsoft C#.Net language.

o   Microsoft SQL Server 2005

o   HTML.
